Mark Rippetoe is a strength and conditioning coach and the owner of Wichita Falls Athletic Club. He is the premier barbell coach for CrossFit, and has been training athletes for over 25 years. Rippetoe also competed in powerlifting for over ten years. Rippetoe was in the first class to sit for the NSCA's Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist test in 1985.
Mark Rippetoe is the author of Starting Strength: A Simple and Practical Guide for Coaching Beginners, and Practical Programming for Strength Training, both of which he co-wrote with Lon Kilgore. Rippetoe is also a regular contributor to the CrossFit Journal and has published articles in the Strength and Conditioning Journal.
