The Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) program was created in 1985 by the National Strength and Conditioning Association[1]. It was meant to identify individuals with the knowledge and skills to design and implement safe and effective strength and conditioning programs for athletes in a team setting. The CSCS is regarded by some as being the most notable fitness certification.
